Overview / Job Responsibilities: At ACT-I, our people make the difference. As Senior Vice President responsible for the Acquisition Management and Security Cooperation Portfolio supporting multiple U.S. Government and International Allied customers, you will be trusted to manage performance for a variety of contracts and corporate initiatives. In this role a typical day will include: * Collaborate with functional executives including CFO/CMO/CGO, and other Line of Business SVPs (Aviation, and Space / Intelligence), to deliver Portfolio growth, profitability, quality, innovation, and support customer initiatives. * Supervise the daily business operations of the Acquisition Management and Security Cooperation Portfolio as an expert at making these programs and contracts operate efficiently and profitably. * Support other line of business and business development Executives in business capture and contract execution to maximize corporate performance and growth. * Lead internal Portfolio meetings with program technical and matrix staff and provide Executive support for customer engagements and expansion. * Provide Executive input for corporate strategy and innovation. Core Competencies: * Operating Strategy: Ability to enable and manage Portfolio growth from contract gross sales of $14M in 2021, to $100M in 2024, by supporting capture of new business, identifying, and helping close M&A deals, and delivering customer satisfaction using innovative ideas and excellent operational support. * Accountability and Analytics: Able to develop, analyze and own, through direct responsibility, P&L functions to maximize Portfolio growth, profitability and enable achieving the company's strategic goals. * Teamwork: Able to sustain effective working relationship with functional matrix staff and managers, the other 2 Portfolio Managers, and your subordinates, while embodying an entrepreneurial spirit. * Communication: Able to provide clear, concise, and persuasive verbal, written and electronic communication to connect with internal and external audiences. * Executive Presence: Well-defined track record of effective leadership. Goal-driven with ability to lead and motivate; self-confidence and control in difficult, unpredictable situations; willing to make tough/fair decisions in a timely manner; cooperate and persuade other talented and strong-willed Executives both internal and external to the organization. Minimum Qualifications: WHAT YOU'LL NEED: * Required Skills: Prioritizing, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; expert business, management, and analytical abilities and most importantly, a positive mental attitude. * Required Domain Expertise: Government ACAT I acquisition management and international security cooperation business; FAR / Contracting Principles; Budget development; Business development and capture planning and execution; Business strategy development; Managing customer relationships; Evaluating employee performance. * Bachelor's Degree or higher required with technical or business / management focus. Master's Degree preferred with same focus. * 15 years program / operational management experience in commercial / government business areas / projects with aggregate at least $20M (preferred $50M) of annual revenue or expenditure. * Served for no less than 7 years as a corporate executive or senior government official directly supporting government contracts. At least 10 years, with 3 years of recent corporate executive experience, is desired. * Managed, including performance goals and evaluations, a total staff no less than 50. * Program or Financial Management Certifications (Commercial or Government), with PMP--- certification preferred. * Secret Clearance, with TS/SCI eligible preferred * Telecommuting options available for local candidates. Candidates must be local to the DMV or open to relocation to the DMV area to be considered.
