Semiconductor Failure Analysis EngineerThe Opportunity:Imagine
using your scientific and engineering skills to transform DoD
research into advanced microelectronics. As a semiconductor FA
engineer, you understand the capabilities and critical role of FA
in complex integrated circuit development and packaging. That
knowledge is key when it comes to assisting the DoD with strategic
consulting on R&D to establish reliable and high-performance
microsystems.As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic
technical consultant to the Defense Advanced Research Projects
Agency (DARPA), you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to
the client, helping oversee the creation and execution of advanced
government-funded research and development programs
inAmicroelectronics. You will have the opportunity to work with
world-class scientists and engineers to shape national security
investment through the development of cutting-edge technologies.
You will leverage technical expertise to support senior DoD
decision-makers with the strategic evaluation of new concepts and
assessments of technological gaps. You will support our clientas
mission by providing recommendations on the feasibility and
potential impact of future research programs through preparing
in-depth analyses, conducting background research, traveling to
R&D facilities, and interfacing with the R&D community. You
will work closely with government clients to track and evaluate the
progress of sponsored research and communicate technical findings
to a wide audience.Empower change with us.You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in CMOS circuit design at the device
level
- 2+ years of experience with semiconductor inspection and
failure analysis tools
- Experience in technical communication
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Masteras degree in Engineering, Physics, or Materials
ScienceNice If You Have:
- Experience with performing failure analysis using x-ray,
optical, acoustic, or electron-beam techniques
- Experience with 2.5D or 3D microelectronics packaging
- Knowledge of x-ray imaging physics and technology
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing techniques in
microelectronics
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication tools and processes
- Possession of outstanding oral and written communication
skills
- Secret clearance
- Doctorate degree in Engineering, Physics, or Materials
Science
- Completion of semiconductor coursework at the Master's degree

is determined by various factors, including but not limited to
location, the individualas particular combination of education,
knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as
contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to
$133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the
typical salary range for this position and is just one component of
Booz Allenas total compensation package for employees.Work ModelOur
