Technical Program Manager, Network Engineering and Infrastructure Deployment


The Network Engineering Program Manager role is responsible for leading new data center site deployments and augmentations across the globe. You will be managing complex projects, working closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders. This role monitors the overall project progress, anticipating risks, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate. In this role you will need to prioritize complex deliverables, have technical discussions, and run meetings with technical and business leaders..


  • Be the liaison to align various Engineering and Data center teams towards the common vision/goal
  • Program manage infrastructure deployments covering Data Center builds, Network circuits, Site augments and everything in between..
  • Project scope planning, documentation of requirements and financial analysis as it relates to a particular network project.
  • Identify and execute process improvements across the scope of Packetfabric operations workflow.
  • Act as a force multiplier making technical network teams more efficient by turning status meetings into dashboards, tracking external vendor engagements, and building workflows for day to day tasks.
  • Liaison between Sales and Site going to RFS
  • Inventory Control

    • Experience leading cross functional engineering teams
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, that accompany excellent organizational skills
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and intrapersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels in the organization
    • Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies and best practices
    • Ability to monitor, handle, and report program level achievements, risks, issues, and decisions
    • A never ending drive to solve complex problems and move projects to completion
    • A mindset to automate everything, all the time
    • Never afraid to question notions or beliefs of how things should be done
    • Enterprise networking aptitude

      • Working knowledge of layer 2 (Ethernet, 802.1q), layer 3 (IP, MPLS), routing protocols (BGP, ISIS) and network concepts such as transit, peering, and transport.
      • Technical knowledge of data center facilities and operations, common network architectures, fiber optics, circuits, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
      • DCO and fiber carrier relations, driving escalations
      • Cisco and Juniper hardware including basic CLI commands
      • Troubleshooting circuits and hardware
      • Submitting cross connects with data centers
      • Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, LucidChart, GSuite
      • PMP and/or PMI-ACP certification or like (preferred)

        Work Experience
        • 5+ years as a technical network engineering and network deployment program manager
