Your Impact

We're looking for a Junior Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to support our government customer in Arlington, VA area who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. You'll be accountable for technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget and schedule. Your role keeps our company connected and we'll support you with what you need to be successful. This position requires a TS security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analysis, track and maintain building asset records and costs
  • Manage life cycle upgrades and budgets
  • Conduct annual facility condition index determinations, assessments and analysis
  • Track configuration and change management documentation Here's What You'll Need

    Here's What You'll Need
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least two (2) years of MEP design experience OR four (4) years of practical experience in facility construction or maintenance of facility equipment and systems.
    • Active DoD TS security clearance with SCI eligibility that has been adjudicated in the last 5 years or in designated CE status and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
    • Proficient with Computer Aided Design Programs and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Power Point and Project).
    • Knowledge of engineering principles of building design, facility systems, utilities, critical infrastructure, including but not limited to
    • Ability to read and understand facility and system drawings, diagrams and schematics.
    • Ability to provide timely deliverables and reports to customer IAW established procedures and protocols.
    • Ability to perform day-to-day engineering reviews, maintenance data system reviews, including workload planning and workload management.
    • Ability to analyze data and assure facility mission readiness and baseline system capabilities are met.
    • Ability to interact with customers effectively in resolving problems
    • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities
    • Ability to use good judgment and personal initiative in recognizing appropriate action to be taken for completion of tasks
    • Ability to interact with people who have different values, cultures, or backgrounds

        Essential Functions

        Physical Requirements Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

        Work Environment General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.

        Equipment & Machines General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

        Attendance Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

        Other Essential Functions Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed. Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen
