Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This position is for a Special Education Teacher
specializing in elementary life skills, working with students with
intellectual disabilities. The role is full-time, requiring 37.5
hours per week, and is a contract assignment lasting through May
26, 2026. The assignment supports one elementary school location in
the Houston, TX area. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized
instruction to elementary students with intellectual disabilities
Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs in compliance
with IEPs Collaborate with school staff and families to support
student development Maintain accurate records and documentation as
required by the district and state guidelines Qualifications and
Experience: Valid Special Education EC-12 license for the State of
Texas (TEA certification) Experience teaching elementary students
with intellectual disabilities or significant special needs Ability
to obtain district-required fingerprints and pass a drug screening
promptly Strong classroom management and communication skills
Familiarity with accreditation and compliance requirements in Texas
schools is preferred Location: Elementary school setting within
Spring Branch ISD, Houston, TX (exact school TBD) Additional
Information: This position is an onsite assignment and not remote
