Job Description Job Description ROLE AND PURPOSE: Maintain the
operation of all District facilities as required to meet department
responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High
School graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
preferred Must have valid Texas driver's license SPECIAL
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Maintain a satisfactory driving record that meets
the standards of the District's insurance policy General knowledge
of commercial maintenance and carpentry Commercial Painting and
Flooring Experience Preferred Mechanical Aptitude and ability to
learn Familiar with safe operation of power tools MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: MAINTENANCE SUPPORT: Follow all AISD
safety procedures as covered in AISD safety handbook Abide by all
AISD policies and procedures as outlined in AISD auxiliary employee
handbook Assume responsibility for safe operation and care of
assigned service vehicle, tools and equipment Assume responsibility
for personal time card Assume responsibility for maintenance and
repair of all AISD physical facilities and structures, programmed
maintenance procedures, and assigned zone Maintain and repair
District physical facilities and structures and complete programmed
maintenance procedures Maintain all physical buildings and
structures including concrete, flooring, drywall, acoustical
ceilings, and commercial carpentry, as directed by department
foreman Coordinate, organize and complete daily assignments,
assuming responsibility for proper documentation regarding assigned
tasks, works orders, and procurement of supplies Initiate work
orders within assigned zones as needed Position may require
overtime, as necessary to maintain function of District facilities
Position will respond to service calls in a timely manner while
serving on-call duty, as necessary to maintain function of District
facilities Any other duties as may be directed by your immediate
supervisor and/or any other supervisor within your line of
authority principal. JOB DUTIES: Maintain the operation of all

responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: None EQUIPMENT USED: All of the following,
associated with the building trade, but not limited to: power tools
i.e.: drills, saws, hammer drills, pneumatic and electric man
lifts, scaffolds, ladders, basic hand tools, electronic test
equipment, trenchers, and concrete saws. WORKING CONDITIONS: MENTAL
DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Environment
Factors: Will work in, under, around, and outside of all AISD
facilities, will be exposed to all outside conditions found in this
region of Texas, exposure to dust, chemicals, and other materials
and slippery and uneven walking surfaces. Physical Demands: While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand, move throughout the room and or facility,
communicate verbally and electronically, use hands to finger,
handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, ability to work
overhead, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and or
crawl; climb; balance, and drive. Employee may be required to work
on knees from time to time. While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is regularly required to lift or exert force of
up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the
ability to adjust and focus. Must be able to safely tolerate the
elements as required for the craft. Be able to work off scaffolding
and a minimum of 40-foot ladder
