Amplity Health MedComms division has an immediate opportunity for
an entry level or experienced, talented Medical Writer. As an

commutable distance to the Cranbury, NJ office. Candidates with a
strong medical writing background and preferred education may be
considered in other remote locations. Eastern Time Zone
preferred.SummaryThe Medical Writer is responsible for doing
research in a variety of therapeutic areas to generate and review
content on a range of high-quality projects across various formats
for different target audiences and work with design and production
teams to produce a range of print, live meeting, and digital
materials.The Medical Writer assists in ensuring the scientific
integrity of all projects and new business endeavors and supports
team members in all phases of activities including researching and
brainstorming business development opportunities. The Medical
Writer is expected to develop strong and enduring thought leader
relationships and will also collaborate with internal stakeholders
to propose innovative ideas and concepts for business
development.
- Consistently develops highly credible content for full range of
projects across various formats; demonstrates in depth
understanding of assigned therapeutic areas or willingness to learn
assigned areas.
- Objectively evaluates scientific literature/data and holds
responsibility for ensuring the scientific quality and integrity of
content in conjunction with the Medical Director
- Research medical and scientific topics relating to specific
therapeutic areas utilizing a variety of information including
in-house reference systems, on-line journal subscriptions,
libraries, and literature search databases.
- Participates in discussions regarding medical content with
supporters and KOLs, as appropriate.
- Participates in discussions regarding strategic educational
planning with internal team members.
- Manages projects assigned to freelance medical writers, as
appropriate.
- Develops content across a range of medical education activities
and publications including, but not limited to, manuscripts, slide
kits, monographs, newsletters, meeting reports, posters, and other
materials; develops agendas and assists in the recruitment of
faculty.
- Assists in program design and the development of outcomes
measures for educational activities.
- Contributes to organic and de novo new business
initiatives.
- Participates in business development presentations and
strategic educational planning activities as requested.
- Serves as an ambassador for scientific services department at
external scientific and industry meetings.
- Conducts research regarding new developments in the medical
field and networks to solicit new business leads and ideas for
business growth.Job Required/Preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the US required.
- Proof of COVID vaccine at the time of hire is required.
- Advanced degree in life sciences preferred such as Ph. D, Pharm
D, MD. DO, DPH, preferred.
- One to two years medical writing experience preferred.
- Established reputation for excellence, scientific authority,
and leadership with clients, KOLs, and Scientific Services
team.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn guidelines related to ACCME,
PhRMA, FDA, ICMJE and OIG rules and regulations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical scientific
information.
- Ability to effectively present scientific/medical
information
- Capable of working independently, prioritize job requirements
and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative, working well in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends in response to
workload needs and established deadlines.
