We want to accelerate that growth. And that's where you come in as a Content Marketing Manager. Your role and goal will be to help the marketing and sales teams build a best-in-class community and drive awareness and create interest for Brazen products and services and help us grow.To be successful in this role, your keyboard must be an extension of your finger tips. Waxing poetic must be a hobby. And the thesaurus must be your muse. We are looking for someone who is a creative writer but also someone who gets creative to find that next great idea. We need a strategic thinker and one who can plan all of our content (ideally tied to an overall campaign) but we also need someone who is in the trenches doing the work, putting pen to paper. And while sometimes you will need to be verbose and other times succinct, you will always need to be thinking about how to get your content, our content, into the hands of our audience. That means a basic understanding of SEO and a knack for writing catchy headlinesYour value will be measured by the quality of your content, the growth or our community, and your attribution to revenue. And you must be great at working with cross-functional teams that include members from management, sales, product, customer success, agencies, and freelancers. You will report to the senior content marketing manager.ResponsibilitiesContent Development, Editing & Copywriting* Develop and execute digital content strategy across all online platforms to increase engagement, brand promotion and sales* Brainstorm, write, edit, and publish content for a variety of marketing and sales enablement formats, including blog posts, ebooks, emails, landing pages, web pages, buying guides, infographics, social media posts and images, video scripts, webinar decks, marketing campaigns, display and search ads, marketing collateral, and moreProject Management* Organize projects from concept to kickoff, production, review, and publishing* Manage projects across marketing functions, including content, design, advertising, social media, sales enablement, email marketing, and more, serving as the central project manager keeping timelines and teams on track to hit deadlinesSearch Engine & Web Optimization * Work closely with Demand Gen and Product Marketing to ensure content is optimized for SEO and in line with ongoing customer research* Write and implement original search and web-optimized content, demonstrating a progressive understanding of the latest SEO tactics* Research, develop briefs, and leverage SEO planning tools to develop and implement SEO content strategies in coordination with the content and marketing teams* Rewrite and edit existing content and web pages to optimize around core buyer search terms in order to support company's SEO objectives* Understand and use best practices to optimize content for the web across a variety of platforms and goalsVideo, Podcast & Webinar Support * Develop, edit, and provide support for video, audio, and webinar projects* Brainstorming, ideation, and developing timely and trending content ideas supporting our annual content calendar and monthly themes * Content development, copywriting, and editing for premium content, including scripts, promotional materials, ads, presentation decks, emails, and more* Edit, optimize, and upload content assets including podcast* Develop podcast episode drop media kits, including social media quote images, audiograms, episode briefs, and more, for company and speaker use in promotions Social Media & Sales Enablement Activation* Write, design, and produce assets to promote content marketing assets, including social media posts, display ads, emails, sales briefs, etc.Regularly post and maintain library of marketing content on company sales enablement hub* Review and report on sales enablement content utilization, gather feedback from sales teams, and recommend improvementsQualifications* Minimum 3 years of experience working in a copywriting role with expertise in B2B marketing, content marketing, social media, persuasive writing, and sales enablement collateral* You have demonstrated knowledge of marketing fundamentals and digital content best practices. * You have ideally worked on a marketing team at a Business-to-business (B2B) company.* You don't just know how to write and post content. You understand how to create a comprehensive content strategy that ladders up to overall marketing and company strategy.* You have created and executed a content strategy that drives business outcomes, ideally at a high-growth startup. How you will know you're a strong fit for the role:* Your portfolio showcases both your writing prowess and your strong ability to market yourself and your personal brand.* You have an uncanny ability to produce writing that connects with customers because you spend time getting to know them and those who sell to them. You regularly conduct prospect, customer and sales rep interviews to inform your content strategy. * You know your way around CRMs and marketing automation solutions (we use Salesforce and Hubspot).* You are incredibly data-driven and highly analytical and you're a pro at Google Analytics, SEMRush and similar reporting and research tools.* You could teach a masterclass on time management, prioritization and attention to detail. * You can herd the cats and keep the show on the road.
