Position Description:
XLA is looking for an Administrative Assistant/Transit Benefits Specialist to support our federal customer. -The job site is in a niche area in Arlington, VA that is close to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. -This is a heavily administrative role that will require an individual willing to step out of their comfort zone and take on larger tasks and responsibilities when asked. They must be proficient in data entry, have an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, and have the ability to prepare and deliver reports and other documents in support of the government client. -Duties include:Review Transit Subsidy Program applications for accuracy and completeness (i.e. signature, dated, and have all required fields complete along with supporting documents). Assist in preparing and implementing notification to address Transit Subsidy updates and requirements.Assist DEA participants with steps on how to activate their new TranServe credit card with proper information provided.Informed DEA participants of the new credit card funded dates and proper steps to take once the new credit card is activated and successfully purchased their first month of Transit Subsidy benefits. Notified current DEA participants of the Transit Subsidy Program Benefit Limit and Annual Recertification Requirements for the upcoming calendar year.Informed participants of the Transit Subsidy Policy requirement to re-certify on an annual basis and or when there is a change to either the participant's transit subsidy benefit amount or participant's personal information. Review recertification applications for accuracy and completeness.Created and updated Transit Subsidy forms to current transit information.Responsible for communications, coordination and auditing of DEA's Transit Subsidy Program.Served as a point of contact for National Capital Region participants by providing responses orally or in writing emphasizing on efficiency, accuracy, audit trail and customer service excellence.Assist managers in ensuring regulations are followed and provide the appropriate informational needed by National Capital Region participants and Field Coordinators.Provide guidance to Field Division coordinators for all questions and issues.Receive, review and forward all transit applications for processing.Work closely with the Department of Transportation assigned account manager to coordinate the delivery of transit benefit funding.Work closely with National Capital Region participants with issues regarding, but not limited to: card problems, funding issues, and applications problems.Provide data entry and reconciliation of DEA's Transit Subsidy Program First system.Closely monitor reporting to ensure that obligated funds are being used properly in accordance to Transit Subsidy Program regulations.Maintain participant applications through DEA's Transit Subsidy Program First system filing.Providing advice and consultation to managers regarding improvements of organization and program activities and operations.Participate in error identification initiatives and programs providing anomalies in data and budget concerns. Conduct special studies or research projects related to specific program goals and issues.Assist participants and field coordinators with their understanding of forms and program requirements.Create E-filing system to better arrange and categorize transit subsidy applications for filing purposes.

Requirements:
Six (6) months of experienceExperience/knowledge with managing the Transit Subsidy Program preferred -Ability to work in basic Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel) and SharePoint.Ability to analyze incoming issues and propose solutions.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to handle multiple assignments at the same timeExcellent organizational skills -Education RequirementsAssociate's Degree -Clearance RequirementsThe ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. - -#ZR
