We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director,
Prudential Policy Lead, Global Public Policy and Government
Affairs. This role is located in Washington, DC- hybrid 3c days/
week in office. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the
following ways: Monitor, analyze, and report on US and
international prudential regulatory developments Serve as a
subject-matter expert and key advisor to senior management on
capital, liquidity, resolution, and other prudential regulatory
developments Prepare briefing materials for senior management,
including summaries and talking points Partner with lines of
business and corporate functions to identify prudential regulatory
priorities, assess impact and opportunities, and develop company
positions Develop, lead, and execute on regulatory engagement and
advocacy strategies, including with trade associations and peers
Cultivate relationships with policymakers, industry peers, and
trade associations Participate in internal and external working
groups, panels, and presentations Build BNY’s profile as a trusted
voice and industry leader on high-profile policy issues To be
successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: This
individual must have a deep understanding of the financial services
industry, U.S. banking agencies, and prudential regulatory
framework applicable to BNY 12-15 years of total work experience
Experience at a federal banking agency, law firm, trade association
or US GSIB preferred Strong understanding of post-crisis and
emerging prudential rules ( e.g. , Basel capital standards, stress
testing, liquidity requirements, fund reform) Strong understanding
of policy development process at the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC,
SEC, BCBS, FSB, and other standard setting organizations Excellent
oral and written communication skills, including the ability to
clearly explain complex regulations Proactive self-starter that
demonstrates initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness to work
independently Excellent interpersonal skills and to work
collaboratively across different teams and regions Strong time
management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects
and time sensitive issues Flexible and adaptable to changing issues
and regulatory priorities Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or

compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this
position is expected to be between $139,000 and $240,000 per year
at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired
will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to
experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total
compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also
include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and
long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit
programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the
right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary
payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related
to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company
or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
