This position will serve as a back-up for the payroll function, requiring continued involvement in the process to remain current. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting processes and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Essential Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accountsEntry and posting of journal entriesSupport full-cycle accounts payable and the accounts receivable activities at the plant levelSupport cash entries and daily cash reporting activitiesSupport month-end and year-end closing processesPerform payroll processing in a back-up capacity, including all related reports and tasksAssist with preparation of financial statements and reportsAssist with various nuisance and property tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirementsPerform bank and credit card reconciliationsWork closely with plant personnel to assist with accounting and financial-related needsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulationsMaintain accurate and organized financial recordsCommunicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal departmentsAssist with audits and corporate tax preparation as neededOther related duties as assignedRequirements:HS Diploma or EquivalentPrefer Associate Degree with a business or accounting concentration3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment3+ years of payroll processing experienceStrong knowledge of AP, AR, and general ledgerProficiency with accounting software, preferably in ERP systemsSolid understanding of accounting principlesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsExceptional ability to work independently and dive deep into tasksStrong Excel skills and comfort with technologyAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCompensation details: 50000-60000 Yearly SalaryPI469e3bb8d8c9-25660-37717239
