Description:Summary: The Staff Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, evaluating and verifying transactions. The position will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial information in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills. This person will directly report to the Controller for supervision purposes, and will work regularly with all levels of management.Job Duties and Responsibilities include:Prepare necessary account reconciliation and supporting schedules, analyze all relevant general ledger information, and collaborate with Controller to prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements on a timely basisPrepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account informationAssist with the preparation of periodic budgets for the various departments and operating units as neededWork with the Controller to ensure all management reporting needs are metFollow established accounting processesProtect organization's value by keeping information confidentialEvaluate/recommend inventory and other controls as needed to reduce costs or increase profitabilityEffectively communicate with warehouse, operations, office and sales personnelIdentify opportunities to improve operating efficiencies based on data analysisWork a flexible schedule with hours and days to reflect seasonal and business needsPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting requiredOne to three years' experience in accounting desiredPrior experience working in manufacturing or production process operations, distribution, produce or a fresh-cut/processing environment a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills are neededProficient in MS Office; specifically Outlook, Word and ExcelAbility to provide accurate information and analysis in a changing environment is essentialAbility to work efficiently and independently as well as part of a team is criticalAbility to maintain confidentialityExcellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skillsEOE/Vet/DisabledPM21Compensation details: 70000-80000 Yearly SalaryPIbf00a8ee37a0-25660-34347354
