Job Description:

SC&A, Inc., an employee-owned environmental and energy consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will have an Accounting degree, 5 or more years of experience with government contracts, experience using ERP software, and strong communication and Excel skills. Familiarity with JAMIS Prime ERP is a plus. Responsibilities include:processing monthly customer invoices and revenue entriesoverseeing junior accountantapproving and paying vendor and consultant invoicespreparing GL entries for monthly close and employee stock purchasesassisting senior VP of contracts with maintaining contract and milestone recordsreviewing monthly reconciliation of accountsworking with CFO and outside accountant on annual financial review and property tax returnspreparing and filing annual 1099spreparing other accounting reports needed by managers or staffserving as acting CFO in CFO's absenceother duties as needed or assignedSalary is commensurate with experience and is expected to range from $65,000 to $85,000.
